May 27, 2025
In another strong result for Kansas agriculture and rural real estate, Sundgren Realty successfully closed a Harvey County farmland auction with a final price of $8,360 per acre. The 40-acre tract, located just northeast of Sedgwick, Kansas, sold for a total of $334,400 in an online-only auction.
The auction drew significant interest from both local and regional bidders. This parcel featured a balanced mix of productive farmland and brome grass. About 20 acres were currently planted to wheat, with 12 acres slated to be cut and baled for hay.
"This property checked a lot of boxes—great location, productive soils, and strong ag use," said Barrett Simon of Sundgren Realty. "We're thrilled with the result and proud to help another Kansas landowner achieve a top-dollar sale through our auction process."
